Nonprofessional Interests

In my spare time I like playing computer games, watching movies, and reading fantasy books. I listed some of my dedicated hobbies below:

Playing The Piano

Picture
I have been playing the piano for more than 10 years. I started with classical education. After 7 years, I had to study on musicals to accompany the orchestra in Kabataş Erkek Lisesi. At the same time, I also got some harmony education. My favorite musicals are Jekyll & Hyde, The Phantom of The Opera, and Notre Dame de Paris. I like the songs Confrontation (Jekyll & Hyde), The Phantom of The Opera and Déchiré (Notre Dame de Paris) most. After I graduated from high school, I returned back to my classical education and studied Sonatas and Etudes. I like playing The Revolutionary Etude (Frédéric Chopin) and The Moonlight Sonata (Ludwig van Beethoven) the most. I also love to listen The Ocean Etude (Frédéric Chopin), which resides to be one of my goals in piano. Frédéric Chopin is my favorite composer in classical music. I am lucky to own a Boston grand piano where I discharge from the stress of my life. Please visit my recordings page for some samples.

Playing Tennis

I have played tennis for 4 years. I had to stop playing since I can't find that much time anymore. However, I'd love to start playing again. My favorite player is Roger Federer.

Playing Bridge

Picture
I have played bridge for 1.5 years. I had to stop playing since I can't find that much time anymore. Though I couldn't pass the beginner level, bridge is a very entertaining sport where you almost lose the track of time with your partner. I have attended the bridge club in Koç University for 1.5 years where I got the basic education. I have even participated to a tournament, which took place in Middle East Technical University (METU), with my partner Övünç Yılmaz, and we have completed as 4th (over 10 groups, no medals :) ).
